Be Kind

Two artists take the very young audience on a sensory journey. From acrobatic morning songs to glowing juggling clubs at dusk, the performance follows the rhythm of the day. There's always something creaking, rattling, rolling, or floating. During the show, a playful dialogue emerges between the artists and the little ones.

Each baby needs a parent/guardian. After the performance, the artists invite the little ones to explore the play area together. They are allowed to crawl in, out, along, and through the set to explore the special materials up close.

Be Kind marks Emilie Weisse's directorial debut, realized with support from TENT, a contemporary circus venue. During the production process, Emilie sought guidance from Sabine Hunnius of the Baby & Child Research Center in Nijmegen. Their collaboration between art and science earned them the Mingler Scholarship 2022
