Wiegeling

An ode to the lullaby.

In a cosy scenery, a singer, a clarinettist and an ud player interact through music with each other and the young audience. Performers and spectators share a swaying setting of abstract shapes, colourful light sources and wondrous sounds. Crawling around is allowed.

Wiegeling is based on an Arabic lullaby, a childhood memory of Syrian Jaber Fadad. If you listen closely to Jaber’s composition, you can hear musical influences from all over the world and of all time. The tones stir your imagination and guide you to places you may never have visited before. Let all your senses wander off…
