Why is everything as it is? What came before everything was there? And will it still be there or will there be nothing? Wat is en wat nu (What was and what now) stimulates the imagination. A world is created between somewhere and nowhere, dark and light, order and chaos. Mysterious and unpredictable. Sometimes very small and sometimes large. Three figures look for a beginning, an end and everything in between.
Wat is en wat nu was created in the context of the Leuven city festival KNAL! around priest-physicist Georges Lemaître who formulated the theory about the big bang. Anna Bentivegna, Zoë Demoustier and Ayrton Fraenk studied together at the Mime School of the Amsterdam Academy of Theatre and Dance.
