Repeatclub
premiere
This rousing choreography brings together 11 young people, each with their unique strength and vulnerability. They dance the lungs out to beats by multi-instrumentalist Dijf Sanders. Gradually, new forms of movement, new bodies and new standards emerge. Repeatclub is about the driving drive of a group; about pushing boundaries and finding freedom in limitation.
Choreographer Danaé Bosman danced for fABULEUS in the award-winning dance performance ZOO doen ze de dingen (co-production with hetpaleis). In recent years, she has made several dance productions for young audiences at LAP, Theater De Spiegel and FroeFroe, among others, including ON- (FroeFroe, 2023), a creation with dancer Miguel Do Vale and actor/dancer Sander Deckx, who is confined to a wheelchair. In Repeatclub, Danaé explores how we can find a common rhythm through repetition and collaboration, just like a flock of birds moving through the air in perfect unity.
Repeatclub redefines what it means to be different, and shows how music and dance can bridge the gap between people, regardless of their background or physical abilities.
