Quatuor Ludwig presents two milestones in the string quartet repertoire: Puccini’s Crisantemi, a rare, elegiac foray into chamber music by the opera composer, and Beethoven’s First Quartet, in which all the expressive richness and formal mastery of the young composer are already present.
