Julia Gjertsen

Dreaming away to images of ice rocks, glacier formations and endless views in the Arctic North. Norwegian Julia Gjertsen, a composer and pianist based in Oslo, is inspired by the beauty of nature in her music.

She shared a first testimony of these experiences on the album Fragile (2019).

On her new album Formation, she offers a richer palette of sounds, with the addition of flute and synths, evoking images of large cloud formations.

Dorian Dumont

With a degree from the Conservatory of Montpellier and one for jazz from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels under his belt, you can't accuse Dorian Dumont of not having mastered his craft.

With REALLY he breaks down barriers between jazz, electro and hiphop. On his own, he has previously presented expert piano work inspired by Aphex Twin. Now he is also immersing himself in the oeuvre of Joy Division.

Press

over Julia Gjertsen: “This is already a personal favourite album of 2022 and I thoroughly recommend it as headphone music when taking a walk. Perfect escapism.” – higherplainmusic blog
