The Queen Elisabeth Competition is a household name at home and abroad. Since its foundation in 1937, the competition has become one of the most prestigious reference points for up-and-coming musical talent in the classical music world. Alternating editions are organised for violin, piano, voice and cello.

In May 2024, the famous Competition will again focus on the violin. The best violinists from the four corners of the world will compete in Brussels. Who will be the worthy successors of Stella Chen, Timothy Chooi and Stephen Kim?

We are very proud to be able to present two of the six laureates to the Leuven audience again this year. Accompanied by the Belgian National Orchestra and freed from all competition stress, they will perform a selection of their favourite violin pieces.
