Laureatenconcert cello
The Queen Elizabeth Competition is one of the most prestigious music competitions in the world. Every year, it brings together young, exceptionally talented musicians from all corners of the world. In Brussels, they test themselves in an intense competition that not only measures their virtuosity, but also their musicality, maturity and emotional depth.
In 2026 the Queen Elizabeth Competition is dedicated to the cello for the third time. We only know who the laureates of this edition are at the end of May 2026, after a fascinating musical battle in which passion, discipline and pure beauty unite. Brussels Philharmonic and guest conductor Samy Rachid have the honour of accompanying the laureates during these ‘triumphal concerts’.
It is indeed a triumph for those who reach the final of this world-famous competition. A reward for their talent, perseverance and passion. And also a release after the intense weeks in which nerves are stretched to their limit. But hearing these young great talents live and without competition stress is truly a unique experience.
