One of the most demanding international competitions, the Queen Elisabeth Competition has been a springboard for exceptional violinists, pianists, singers and cellists with burgeoning international careers since its establishment in 1937.
In 2023, the Queen Elisabeth Competition will be dedicated to singing. From 21 May to 3 June, the best singers from the four corners of the world will compete in Brussels. The ranking of the laureates will be announced on Saturday 3 June, after the last performance of the final.
Who will succeed Marianne Croux, Samuel Hasselhorn, Eva Zaïcik, Ao Li, Rocío Pérez and Héloïse Mas, the laureates of the previous edition?
Thanks to our good contacts with the Competition, we present 3 of the 6 laureates in Leuven for a magnificent gala concert that takes us from baroque opera to Mozart. Neither the names of the soloists nor the repertoire is known at this stage.
The Ricercar Consort, conducted by Philippe Pierlot, is in charge of the accompaniment. The expressive quality of this orchestra is outstanding.
An evening of pure joie de vivre to end the cultural season in style!
