Gabriel Ríos’s solo performance
Support: Milo Meskens
Following a successful career full of musical innovation and intense collaborations, Gabriel Ríos returns to the essence. As a solo artist, he opts for intimacy and closeness in our wonderful Schouwburg theatre.
With just his voice, guitar and the magic of his songs, Ríos takes audiences on an immersive journey through his musical universe. Playa Negra is his most recent album, in which he mixes his Latin American roots with subtle folk, poetic lyrics and deep melancholy. Live, this translates into a pure, honest and mesmerising experience where every note resonates, and every silence speaks.
Gabriel Ríos has repeatedly proved that he effortlessly transcends genres, from the danceable sounds of Broad Daylight to the subdued splendour of This Marauder’s Midnight. Now he adopts a minimalist approach that exposes his music to the core. No frills, no filters – just one man and his music, as it is meant to be.
A must-see for lovers of authenticity and acoustic beauty. This theatre tour offers a unique opportunity to experience Gabriel Ríos up close, in his purest and sincerest form.

Milo Meskens writes about how he feels, without taking any detours and straight from the heart. With All the Things I Couldn't Tell My Therapist, the Ghent-based singer-songwriter opened a new chapter at the end of 2024. It's an album that begins in darkness but ends in full light.
After suffering a severe mental setback, Meskens found the words he was looking for in an unexpected place: music. What started as songs for his therapist evolved into a musical diary. The result is raw, honest and sometimes confrontational, but always with a glimmer of hope shining through. With influences ranging from Nirvana to John Mayer to The 1975, but above all with his own voice at the forefront, Meskens shows where he stands today: no longer in the shadows, but in the midst of recovery.
This is a glimpse into his mind and an open heart on record. From mental lows to mental highs and everything in between.
(Note: Originally, Venezuelan singer-songwriter Augusto Bracho was scheduled as the support act. Due to travel restrictions, this concert is no longer feasible.)
