Do you still remember the Kapla blocks? With his try-out, Wout Vanroose makes you think back nostalgically to this iconic toy. With extreme caution and the perfect balance, he interacts with the fragile structures. But is that enough to counteract the destructive force?

Wout is a multi-talented circus artist/musician with a predilection for unusual skills that he often invents himself. It was not without reason that he became Homo Universalis 2021 in the TV program Iedereen Beroemd.

  "Wout excels in everything and learns very quickly. That is a very exceptional gift. I don't know Wout very well, but when I see him playing, I am enormously impressed by what he can do. It will therefore undoubtedly be a fun and above all an impressive try-out.
  

Vacht| Bruut - premiere

Two creatures meet each other. Covered in thick fur, they get to know themselves and each other. Their second skin determines how they move and face each other. But what if they take off that coat?

Bruut is a young interdisciplinary circus collective of circus artists Xanthe Van der Jeught and textile artist Silke Rys.

  "I followed courses with Silke and Xanthe at Cirkus in Beweging and we were also together in the circuscompany Dyne. So we know each other very well. Silke had long the idea of creating a performance with hairy, draping carpet costumes. Originally she wanted to combine this with trapeze, but the final result is a performance with partner acrobatics in which she works together with Xanthe. I also think it is particularly beautiful that two women stand alone on stage and carry each other. You don't see that very often, so that was an extra reason for me to give this performance a place."
