--------------------------

Chantal Acda’s musical life was changed forever when she met Nils Frahm in Paris ten years ago. They clicked both on and off stage. Nils, as well as Gyða Valtýsdóttir, Peter Broderick and Shahzad Ismaily were present in a studio in Berlin a week later when Chantal recorded her first album under her own name: Let Your Hands Be My Guide. These days were filled with passion, dedication, fun and depth. The new album symbolises a new start.

“10 years later, I look back on that time. I released several albums with different people in those 10 years, but each of those albums was connected to the first album. To that moment in Berlin.
I felt supported by a loyal audience at home and abroad in those 10 years.
Now it’s time to celebrate. And I would love to celebrate with the people who have been important in all these years. One was there in my teenage years and was a major inspiration to start making music. The other has been a soundboard for years. And then we just need a stunning voice and a major influence who is very honest. They are all important to me.

I want to revive this record, and make it dance, speak and sing again. Together.”

Arny Margret’s debut They Only Talk About The Weather is an album of acute emotional exploration; her coming-of-age journey, from writing in school, staring out of dorm room windows, being on the road, through to today. With poetic proficiency and a knack for composing melodies that bury themselves deep into the subconscious, Arny writes of loneliness and existentialism. The Icelandic indie folk singer draws influence from the likes of Adrianne Lenker, Phoebe Bridgers, Leif Vollebekk and Bon Iver.
