Get ready for Body of Work, a new annual dance festival. Body of work shines a new light on our rich dance heritage through (re)perfromances, shows, workshops, exhibitions, lectures, films, discussions, dance battles…

This first edition of ‘Body of Work’, titled Unfolding Fase, takes a close look at Fase. Four Movements to the Music of Steve Reich. from 1982 by the young Anne Teresa De Keersmacker. It’s an iconic piece that left its mark on (postmodern) contemporary dance. During the festival, come and enjoy the premiere of Fase, but for the very first time with male dancers. Besides that, there are performances specifically adapted for schools, young people and families scheduled. Discover in the exhibition how and in which zeitgeist Fase was created and how it has been passed down over generations of dancers. Experience dance from inside out though workshops and various activities. Or be surprises by the work of young dancers and musicians inspired by Fase.

Body of work is a festival that lets you (re)experience dance with a fresh perspective every year. The first edition, Unfolding Fase, runs from Feb. 20 to March 9, 2025 at STUK.
