11 individuals, each carrying a bench under their arm, roam the city. They invite passersby to join them on their bench. Listening, meeting, connecting. At our final destination, the Velodrome, the bench-sitters, bench-carriers, and random passersby gather around a large table. Here, we toast to the beauty of small encounters and life through words and music.
Compagnie Krak was founded in 2008 by Els Degryse and Dieter Missiaen. In 2020, they embarked on an artistic research project focusing on the connection between artist and audience, resulting in the pop-up performance 'BANK-CONTACT'. Their focus has shifted from mere presentation to more socially engaged work.
