Ali Doğan Gönültaş (TR)

Ali Doğan Gönültaş was born into a Kurdish family for whom music is an essential way of passing on the history of their people. 

In 2022, Ali Doğan launched his first album Kiğı in which he highlighted the languages and cultures of silent minorities in Turkey, such as the Kurds and Armenians. The album paved the way for performances on prominent European stages. The reception of his album Keyeyi (2024) confirmed the magic. 

Besides his solo work, Gönültaş also composes music for films and collaborates on musical TV programmes.
