This concert paints a musical picture of Joseph Legros (1739-1793), who was an influential singer and composer and starred in various French operas. He is considered the most prominent haute-contre of his generation, with an exceptionally brilliant and flexible high vocal range. In this last part of the trilogy, we can also hear the evolution from a French to a more Italian style.
Leuven tenor Reinoud Van Mechelen has become a reference in baroque music in only ten years’ time. His sparkling recordings and generous live concerts allow him to perform in the greatest venues all over the world.
