Daniel Norgren (solo)
Daniel Norgren and his songs. Upright piano and guitar. "An evening with". Beautiful theatres. New songs. For just a few dates.
Melancholic melodies, a stripped-down guitar or piano and a captivating voice, that’s Daniel Norgren. This summer, he performed with his band at a sold-out OLT. This time, we welcome him for the first time in Leuven, during a short and exclusive tour that coincides with the film release of Le otto montagne (Felix van Groeningen en Charlotte Vandermeersch) for which Norgren made the soundtrack.
Norgren has already released a series of beautiful records. For his most recent studio album Wooh Dang (2019), he retreated in an abandoned house in the woods of South-West-Sweden. Everything was recorded live and in analog, using the old black piano of the mansion. January 2021, during the corona pandemic, he released the long-awaited live album Live. With this album, Daniel wanted to fill the void, and wonderfully succeeded in it.
Each concert by Daniel Norgren is a blissful experience. Always remarkable, honest and also playful. It all comes down to connection: between the artist, his audience and the music, between body and soul.
