The Labyrinth is a research project led by Fabian Krestel, delving into the intricate relationship between process and product. Fabian explores playful methods of translating movement patterns into visual traces, all within structured environments that allow for a touch of randomness. His exploration involves investigating the physical requirements associated with movement, to discover playful forms that generate both visual and experiential outcomes, creating traces and events. This abstract juggling approach, orchestrated by Fabian, captures the essence of movements, including ambidexterity, precision, geometries, compositions, patterns, and variations.

Fabian Krestel is a Brussels-based dancer and choreographer with formal training as a circus performer. Through his research and performances, Fabian wants to explore the boarders of performing and fine arts. His commitment to artistic exploration reflects a genuine fascination with the intricacies of the creative process.

The Leuven circus workplace CIRKLABO welcomes and supports many circus artists to work on their performance.
Try-out: a piece or several fragments of a performance that artists want to test in front of an audience. The artist gives you an insight into how a circus show is created. Who knows, you may be able to contribute to the creation yourself.
