Leuven beKOORt 2026

Sunday, September 27 - 50 choirs - 24 locations - free festival

Sing, listen, watch, experience and stroll through the third edition of Leuven beKOORt.
Once again, we join forces with Leuven-based KOORUWEL to fill the city with choral sounds.

50 choirs will perform on 24 stages on a single Sunday afternoon.
They come from Leuven, Flemish Brabant, Flanders, Wallonia, the Netherlands and Germany.

Between 1:30 pm and 5:00 pm, each choir presents two 30-minute concerts at two different stages in Leuven’s city centre. All stages are within walking distance of each other, between the main entry points of Grote Markt, Botanical Garden and Damiaanplein.

As a final moment, all choirs gather at 5:30 pm on the lawn of the newly redeveloped Hertogensite.
Together, they will perform the new composition Babel, written for Leuven beKOORt by Pieter Nevejans, the conductor of KOORUWEL.

You can attend all 100 concerts free of charge. Visitors can enjoy a wide variety of styles and sounds: from Gregorian and classical music to world music, pop and rock. Discover unique and surprising venues too: churches, chapels, gardens, squares and colleges throughout Leuven’s lower town. And of course, there's time to pause for a drink and a bite during this multi-voiced day!

Feel like joining in yourself? Sing along to pop songs, discover a classical piece, or share the joy of singing with your (grand)children during one of the three participatory singing sessions at the new Dyle steps on the Hertogensite.

Leuven beKOORt launches 30CC's cultural season every two years.
The choral festival is becoming a cherished tradition, with the fourth edition already planned for September 2028.

You are warmly invited — come and hear and see them sing.
