Un Concerto a Venezia - Vivaldi & Albinoni
When you think of Venice, Vivaldi is one of the first names that come to mind. This universally known 18th-century Italian composer is the central figure of the programme. Two characterful sonatas for violin and cello as well as the virtuoso flute concerto La Notte will be performed.
Written for oboe and strings but in this case performed on traverso, Albinoni’s melodious Oboe Concerto is a real favourite from the Baroque repertoire.
As always, Frank Theuns is accompanied by the internationally renowned musicians of Les Buffardins.
