TRIO ZADIG: Ian Barber (piano) - Boris Borgolotto (violin) - Marc Girard-Garcia (cello)
Dvořák's final trio, which he composed in 1890, consists of six dumky movements. The composer maintained the Slavic origin and typical melancholy of the popular dumka but adapted it to his romantic ardour. Thus, this atypical Trio is shaped like a string of freely improvised dances with changing and contrasting moods.
