Frascati Symphonic and recorder soloist Bart Spanhove are the guides on this journey through the listener’s fantasy. Telling a good story with the emotions evoked by the music is what this concert is all about. Or rather: performing the music in such a way that the audience can make up their own story!

The programme alternates between film score gems from the 21st century, a wonderful recorder concerto by Lodewijk De Vocht and top baroque pieces. The highlight is Johann Sebastian Bach’s unequalled Brandenburg Concerto No. 4.

Soloist Bart Spanhove was a long-standing member of Flanders Recorder Quartet, is a recorder teacher at LUCA School of Arts – Lemmensinstituut Campus and is frequently asked to give master courses around the world.

Frascati Symphonic explores the boundaries of classical music conventions and requested the artificial intelligence company Brainjar to come up with an innovative concept. To stir the imagination, picturesque images are shown in the background that dynamically change to the music by means of state-of-the-art technology. Your own story unfolds before your eyes, as it were.
