Tim Showalter wrote the album of his life with In Heaven. The ever-engaging inspirer of Strand of Oaks – with his fierce beard and flowing mane, but oh so cuddly – grabs you by the scruff of the neck from the very first note with his golden voice.

In Heaven, the eighth studio album of Strand of Oaks, is a heartbreaking album about pain, loss and intense sadness. But it also symbolises the power of music. The only support music can offer when disaster strikes.

Three years ago, Tim Showalter's wife Sue lost her mother in a traffic accident. Showalter gave up alcohol to help his wife get her life back on track. They decided to leave everything behind and go travelling around the States. It was an impulsive decision that also symbolises everything In Heaven is about. Because In Heaven has become a quest for life, more than a record to deal with loss.

In order to transform the many impressions Showalter gained during his cleansing road trip into an album, he worked with Carl Broemel (My Morning Jacket) and James Iha (The Smashing Pumpkins), among others. The result is astonishingly beautiful and is the pinnacle of Strand of Oaks’ rich oeuvre.

Drenched in melancholy and propelled by his powerful voice and guitar riffs, he effortlessly takes his audience on an intense musical trip. As a guide offering support in life, with a sweet, red sun slowly setting over the Indiana lakes on the far-way horizon. Everything will be alright.

“I am thrilled to be returning for my first ever solo shows. In my experience playing solo provides a unique connection to myself and the audience where we can truly live in the songs together. After so long without shows the thought of sharing an evening together in song and stories and overall good vibes will be an absolute dream. Thank you for your continued support and I am looking forward to all be in a room together soon.” Much love ~ Tim
