Refugee Walk

Never have so many people around the world been displaced by violence, war and persecution. Some refugees have to walk for weeks on end in search of a safe place to stay.

The fourth edition of the Refugee Walk will take place in Leuven on Sunday 27 September. In partnership with Vluchtelingenwerk Vlaanderen and the City of Leuven’s department of diversity and equal opportunities, we have developed an appealing programme. Leuven will be car-free for the day, so this is the ideal opportunity to enjoy the pleasant atmosphere in the city and to contemplate the plight of the countless refugees still on the run.
