Que Désire

Soetkin is not afraid of going to extremes. From Dalida to Barbara. From Delpech to Aznavour. With Que Désire, she breathes new life into well-known and forgotten French chansons with fragile grandeur. Thanks to her warm voice and presence, her performance of this captivating repertoire often receives a standing ovation.

Together with her excellent band and Aline Goffin as backing vocalist, she brilliantly interprets French chansons by artists such as Jean Ferrat, Dalida, Michel Delpech and Charles Aznavour, to name just a few. And not just any old way! Many songs have been given a totally new arrangement and are as recognisable as they are surprising and virtuoso. Some songs are embellished while others are totally stripped, but there is one constant: Soetkin’s (and Aline’s) marvellous, warm voice which gives the audience goose bumps throughout the show.

Soetkin is joined on backing vocals by Aline Goffin and by a versatile band of talented musicians: Bert Candries on guitar and bass guitar, Luc Vanden Bosch on drums and Paul Flush on Hammond organ.
