Bertrand is made of plastic. But Bertrand wants to be anything but plastic. Together with his pile of junk and discarded objects, he looks for beauty in this ‘nothingness’. A broken vacuum, an ugly skirt, a plastic bag, even mom’s old toothbrush … What has been thrown away comes to life. What has been brushed aside has a role to play. What should not exist any longer is given back its soul.
Costume designers Leentje Kerremans and Valerie Le Roy share a passion for the beauty and humour of ordinary ‘stupid’ things. Their very visual show will certainly arouse the curiosity of young children.
