OPERA2DAY, which conquered the Low Countries last season with 'Vivaldi – Dangerous liaisons', is once more working together with the New European Ensemble. A horror story by Edgar Allan Poe set to Philip Glass’s minimal music makes you experience fantastic visions and terrifying phantasms.
The focus is on Philip Glass’s compelling opera 'The Fall of the House of Usher', which tells the story of melancholy and hyperesthetic Roderick Usher, who lives in a dilapidated mansion together with his sister Madeline. Opera Melancholica will take you on a journey through the darkest corners of the human psyche.
