MONSIEUR MÊME (WORKING TITLE)
Même has lost his estate and is now forced to live on the domain's
surrounding walls. Together with his love, he fights an uphill battle
against those that have taken everything from him. Almost wordlessly,
but undeniably poetic and humorous, Max Last tells this vibrant story
of love, desire, fighting and perseverance. Monsieur Même is a
sociopolitical tale, full of macabre humor, an allegory of life
itself anno 2016.
After One Man Show and Een kat een kat, Max Last performs a tragicomic visual performance based on the comic Het Besloten Land (Ici même) by Tardi & Forest. In two versions: one in which children are allowed entry, and one in which they aren't.
