Astor Piazzolla and Martín Palmeri
In his Misa Tango, Argentine composer Martín Palmeri mixes elements from the traditional Latin mass with the heart and soul of tango! The melancholy bandoneon, the powerful voices and the driving rhythm play a leading role. The result is a profuse work full of emotions, passion and pain, expressed with vibrant energy.
Bandoneon player Christophe Delporte had the brilliant idea of combining this magnificent mass with some of the best-known work by that other famous Argentinian: Astor Piazzolla. Music that speaks of love, sadness, hope and melancholy.
