Alto saxophonist Logan Richardson already impressed with his first solo album 'Celebral Flow' (2007). He also was one of the leading figures of Next Collective, at the ranks of pianist Gerald Clayton and trumpet player Christian Scott.
He now makes his grand appearance on legendary Blue Note. Now and then the label sticks its neck out for young talented musicians, like recently Ambrose Akinmusire and Robert Glasper. Richardson definitely enters those ranks. Shift is characterized by a strong flow and a dynamic storytelling.
Steiger Steiger is a young jazz trio from Gent. Three musicians with a peculiar love for music pick up the conversation with self-written compositions and free improvisations. All members are equal on stage. They guide the audience through a pleasant exploration of jazz, rock, improvisation, electronics and classical music. They will present their debut album on Leuven Jazz.
