Liebrecht Vanbeckevoort ended as 6th laureate of the Queen Elisabeth Competition in 2007 and also won the Audience Award from both VRT and RTBF.
Jan Michiels, his teacher at the Royal Conservatory Brussels, taught him to focus on the essence, the structure and the vision.
Liebrecht’s talent is immense and underneath his calm appearance hides inexhaustible energy. This recital reflects the warm friendship with our festival, where he so often excelled!
