La Notte di Natale

Some traditions deserve to be upheld. This year, the Christmas concert in Vlierbeek abbey will feature two icons from the world of classical music: soprano Anne Cambier and baritone Werner Van Mechelen. Together with their orchestra I Justiniani, they perform the most beautiful gems from the baroque Christmas repertoire and, unsurprisingly, a Christmas medley that will put you in the mood for the holiday season.

Cambier and Van Mechelen will guide you through the most beautiful arias from Messiah, the Christmas Oratorio and a few cantatas by Johann Sebastian Bach and George Frederick Handel. In addition, the ensemble I Justiniani will treat you to Tomaso Albinoni’s virtuoso hobo concerto. The soloists and the ensemble will conclude this festive Christmas concert with a medley of Christmas carols arranged specially for this occasion by Jelle Tasseyns.
