Justin Adams (UK) and Mauro Durante (IT)
Two legendary musicians united on our stage. Guitarist, producer and composer Justin Adams was the man behind Robert Plant and his band The Sensational Space Shifters. He produced phenomenal songs for Tinariwen and Rachid Taha and worked with Jah Wobble and Sinead O’Conner, evoking the spirit of London post-punk. Songlines hailed his solo guitar album Ribbons as one of the top 50 albums of the past decade.
Here, he embarks on a new collaboration with violinist Mauro Dante, which stems from a concert during the legendary Notte de Taranta in Puglia. Durante tours the world with Ludovico Einaudi and is one of the leading figures within the Italian Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino.
- “I met Justin Adams. I think that was a major turning point for me, to find a guy who could be so lyrical as a guitar player and to have such a nazingly beautiful roots of appreciation of music” (Robert Plant, Uncut Magazine)
- “The violinist Mauro Durante is probably the most exciting feature on Ludovico Einaudi’s world-conquering chill-out albums” (The Times)
