On 30 April 2020 it will be 75 years since Adolf Hitler took his own life in his Berlin bunker. On the occasion of this anniversary, Het Nieuwstedelijk brings Stijn Devillé’s instant classic back to the stage.

Hitler is dead. His main henchmen Goebbels and Himmler have also committed suicide. Soon Goering and Speer are captured by the Allies. The Axis of Evil has been conquered, the world lies in ruins. Justice must be served, and the guilty must be punished.

Against the background of a city reduced to rubble, four young men working for the Allies try to develop moral principles for the future. Meanwhile, tensions and differences of opinion arise among the accused, because one man’s survival strategy is another man’s death sentence. Hitler is dead. But the bitter legacy he leaves is huge.
