In 2011, singer Fatoumata Diawara rose to worldwide fame with her album Fatou. Her oeuvre is characterised by a unique mix of traditional Malian music, African blues and Western pop. She sings in the Wassoulou tradition, just like her friend and mentor Oumou Sangaré. She has become one of the most prominent female voices of a new African generation of artists, and has worked together with Damon Albarn, Herbie Hancock and Dee Bridgewater among others. This year she has won a Victoire de la Musique, the principal award for world music in France.
During her fourth performance at 30CC she will present her new album Fenfo
