Fatherload
After growing up, David Labi travelled halfway around the world in search of adventure and cheap thrills. Today he is sober and faces the biggest challenge of his life: a child, a baby, his baby.
As the couscous and vomit fly past his ears, David ponders the big questions: How do you raise a child when you’re still growing yourself? How do you break the cycle of intergenerational trauma? And what happens to you if you snort milk powder?
Fatherload is the story of a man who hopes his children will inherit more than his shortcomings. A monologue
on modern fatherhood. Unashamedly honest, moving and hilarious.
