ERGENS
SOMEWHERE is a 180° VR experience about loneliness. This installation takes young and old alike on a journey through the inner world of a child who feels all alone, trapped in the spellbinding grip of loneliness. A performance about the impact of loneliness and the strength we find when we connect with others and are seen.
In this experience, everyone – aged eight and above – is given a pair of VR glasses and takes a seat. You close your eyes to the physical space around you, put on the VR glasses and step into a 3D film world. There, you embark on a visual journey accompanied by beautiful (live) music.
It is both a shared and an individual experience: whilst you visit the installation alongside 33 others, you are alone when you put on the VR headset. In this way, you are invited to reflect, both individually and collectively, on the impact of loneliness and the strength we find when we connect with others and feel seen.
