The sonatas for violin and piano in the centre of attention!
Elsa de Lacerda and Élodie Vignon only recently joined forces as a duo.
Their programme starts with the estranging, short but compelling Sonata no. 21 by Mozart.
Followed by its ideal antipode: the first of Schubert’s three sonatinas.
Alike the day before, the concert ends with a sumptuous Brahms: the Second Violin Sonata was written on the shores of Lake Thun, bathing in golden, late-summer light.
