Ed Harcourt & Fiona Brice (UK)
Support: Julia Kent (CA)
Ed Harcourt is back. His debut Here Be Monsters was awarded with a Mercury Prize in 2001, but he was unable to equal this success with his subsequent albums. In 2017, the singer-songwriter released Furnaces, the most ambitious album from his career. Reflection, anger, eloquence: Ed Harcourt has a keen outlook on the world that surrounds us. His latest album confirms the class of this unique, atypical songwriter and multi-instrumentalist.
This is the second time we will welcome Fiona Brice by his side at the festival. This classically trained violinist has always been attracted to pop and rock music. She has performed together with Placebo, John Grant and Roy Harper. And she has written arrangements for Anna Calvi and Midlake.
