For years, Daniel Norgren was one of the North’s best-kept secrets. But with every album and every concert, the Swedish singer-songwriter has steadily grown his devoted following. Norgren truly stands apart: melancholic melodies, weathered guitar and piano lines, and a voice that cuts deep.

His music lives somewhere between Americana, roots, blues and folk, and pairs the best of classic artists like Neil Young, Tom Waits, and Van Morrison with the brilliance of contemporary greats such as Bonnie “Prince” Billy and The Tallest Man on Earth.

With his understated, wistful songs, he transports you like no one else back to a childhood spent in the great outdoors.

Over the past two decades, Norgren has released several remarkable albums: Buck, Alabursy, The Green Stone, and Wooh Dang, recorded in an abandoned house deep in the forests of southwest Sweden. He also composed the soundtrack for The Eight Mountains, the 2022 film epic by Felix Van Groeningen and Charlotte Vandermeersch, based on the novel by Paolo Cognetti.

In December 2022, on the back of the film’s success, he played his first sold-out show at our Schouwburg, delivering an intimate, spellbinding solo set. If you were there, you’ll remember that warm, lingering glow of an evening that lands softly and stays with you long after.
