Discover the best our country has to offer in terms of medieval music. La Roza Enflorese takes you on a journey to the castles of southern France, where cultural life flourished in the Middle Ages and troubadours launched a brand-new idea: fin amor or courtly love.

In their canso (a song made up of stanzas) the troubadours sing the praises of the unattainable object of their affection, their dòmna (lady). This refined troubadour art first appeared at the Occitan courts and spread across France and, eventually, England and the Low Countries.

The unique ensemble La Roza Enflorese has successfully performed Sephardic songs for many years, always making use of a wide range of musical instruments from various regions and periods.

By means of captivating rhythms and atmospheric melodies, the ensemble brings together traditional and modern music, implementing techniques from classical music and popular music as well as improvisation.
