B-Jazz International Contest 2020
The ‘B-Jazz International Contest’ is a prestigious international competition for jazz musicians under 30. Out of 109 applications from 27 countries, the preselection jury has selected four finalists, to which the international network of B-Jazz has added two more.
During this first final, the international jury will be judging the O.N.E. Quintet (Poland), Milton Man Gogh (Australia) and Claudio JR De Rosa Jazz 4tet (Italy - via ‘Getxo Jazz Festival’).
This evening is concluded with a free ‘Late Night Jam’, fired up by the rhythm section of the LUCA - School of Arts.
The results of the competition will be announced on Sunday, March 22nd, in the 30CC/Schouwburg. The winning band will also play a mini-concert.

The mission of 'B-Jazz' is to discover, promote and support the jazz talents of tomorrow, by offering young and ambitions musicians the chance to present themselves in excellent conditions before an international jury and a live audience.
'B-Jazz' doesn't present (inter)national big shots, but focuses on upcoming jazz talents and allows them to gain international experience and contacts. A somewhat bold, but a well-considered choice. Participants in the competition have started as amateurs, but have reached a very high level and can - with a little help - enter the professional jazz circuit. This makes for a very exciting and dynamic competition.
