------------------------------------------

This performance is still in development and, therefore a try-out. Artists are happy to give insight into their creative process.

Try-out: a piece or several fragments of a performance that artists want to test in front of an audience. The artist gives you a glimpse into how a circus performance is created. Who knows—you might even be able to contribute to the creative process yourself.

----

Celebrating the freedom to move, groove, and be alive. Somewhere between dance floor and circus ring, two performers chase rhythms, bend rules, and toss objects (sometimes each other), revelling in the joy of jazz and swing. One foot in the past, one tapping firmly in the present, the duo plays with echoes of another era - when jazz was rebellion and swing floors were spaces of freedom - and asks the questions anew: Who leads? Who follows? Who decides? Perhaps the music does. Perhaps no one does.Less a show to watch than a groove to catch, Jitter invites audiences to feel the pulse in their own bones. Blending Lindy Hop, acrobatics, object play, and wit, the performance can expand into a swing workshop or a full Lindy Hop evening. Wherever it travels, it does so eco-lightly - by train, by bicycle, and always with rhythm in tow.

About the company

Keeping Company was founded in 2024 by Ezra Weill in Brussels. The company uses circus to offer deep dives into nostalgia (cassette tapes, swing dance, etc) with the goal of sharing shows and artistic work that encourages connection; may it be between the artists and the audience, or between audience members. Jitter will be the company’s second creation, capturing the company’s belief that art can bring happiness to those who experience it together.
